Locations

Educated by Nature offers a number of nature-based programs, at a variety of locations around Perth, and wider Western Australia. Listed below are our locations, divided by program type.

Mud Pies

Baldivis Children’s Forest

1399 Mandurah Rd, Baldivis 

  • The Children’s Forest is east of Lake Walyungup and 300m north of the Vernon Arms Tavern. 

  • There are two main spaces we use at Baldivis Children’s Forest; one is halfway up the limestone track at a fallen tree and the other is at the top of the hill next to the toilet block and undercover area. Drive through the main gate and park at the top of the limestone track. Alternative parking is available at the entry to the forest near the gate.

  • Drive through the gate and park at the top of the limestone driveway.

  • Walk down the “Authorised vehicles only” path toward the undercover area.

Crawley

Swan River Foreshore, Next to Cygnet Hall, Corner of Hackett Drive and Mounts Bay Road, Crawley

  • Some construction has begun in the large carpark off Hackett Drive which is interrupting the use of the carpark and access to the foreshore. Due to current construction disturbances, parking is permitted in the Nature Play WA staff parking next to Cygnet Hall (opposite the meeting space) or on the sectioned-off area on the grass next to Cygnet Hall.

  • Enter the carpark from Hackett Drive. Continue through the carpark.

  • Cygnet Hall is past the State Sailing Centre and the Perth Dinghy Sailing Club.

Kalamunda

Stirk Park, Elizabeth Street, Kalamunda

  • Park on Elizabeth Street in front of the children’s playground.

  • Walk through the gate and around the righthand side of the pond.

  • The group will meet under the grove of trees situated on the eastern side of the park.

Mosman Park

Green Place Reserve, Chidley Way, Mosman Park

  • There is limited parking available next to Green Place Reserve. The main carpark on Chidley Way provides an alternative option for parking.

  • From the top carpark on Chidley Way, walk down the hill to the north.

  • When you arrive, look for the blankets and stations set up under the big tree on the grass tiers.

Swanbourne

Mayo Community Gardens, 91  Wood Street, Swanbourne

  • Park in the car park opposite Allen Park Oval on Clare Copse.

  • Walk north along the limestone path up the hill.

  • You will find us in the community garden.

  • We will sometimes meet in the back lot behind the garden (within the old picket fence).

Tapping

Da Vinci Park, Da Vinci Drive, Tapping

  • Park along Da Vinci Drive at the Yandella Promenade end of the street.

  • Enter the limestone path on Da Vinci Road and walk down the hill.

  • You will see us set up under the grove of trees on the edge of the path.

KIN Village

Crawley

Swan River Foreshore, Next to Cygnet Hall, Corner of Hackett Drive and Mounts Bay Road, Crawley

  • We will meet on the large grassed area next to State Sailing Centre WA building at the entry to the car park. This is where sign in will occur.

  • Look for the green and orange flags.

  • Some construction has begun in the large carpark off Hackett Drive which is interrupting the use of the carpark and access to the foreshore.

  • There are a small number of bays available in this carpark (closest to the carpark entrance off Hackett Drive) that you should be able to access given the start time of the program. However, if this is full, parking along the road or in the UWA carpark across the road (near the tennis courts on the opposite side of Hackett Drive) will be the best option.

  • Most of our program will take place next to Cygnet Hall. Cygnet Hall is past the Perth Dinghy Sailing Club towards the city.

Curtin University

Curtin Universty, Corner of Hayman Road and Kent Street Crawley, Bentley

  • We will meet on the large grassed area next to the Perth Hockey Stadium. This is where sign in will occur.

  • Look for the green and orange flags.

  • Most of our program will take place next to in the Pine Forest near the hockey field parking zone.

Hamilton Hill

Manning Park, Near Manning Lake, Azelia Road, Spearwood.

  • We will meet near the largest car park on Azelia road, near Manning Stairs and the public toilet block. This is where sign in will occur.

  • Enter from Gorham Road.

  • Look for the green and orange flags.

  • Most of our program will take place within the green space of Beeliar Ragional Park.

Swanbourne

Mayo Community Gardens, 91  Wood Street, Swanbourne

  • Park in the car park opposite Allen Park Oval on Clare Copse.

  • Sign in will occur on the oval and the group will move towards homebase shortly after.

  • Look for the green and orange flags.

  • Homebase is located up the limestone path within the community garden and neighbouring bush space.

Bush Inventors’ Club

Swanbourne

Mayo Community Gardens, 91 Wood Street, Swanbourne

  • Park in the car park opposite Allen Park Oval on Clare Copse.

  • Sign in will occur on the grass oval near the goal posts.

  • Look for the green and orange flags.

  • We will then walk with the children to the community garden.

Wembley

Bold Park Community School, 63 Powis Street, Wembley

  • Enter the school grounds through the front gate.

  • Walk towards the basketball court at the back of the school.

  • Behind the basketball court is the Wild Space.

  • Our meeting space is the Fire Pit near the tool shed.

Boshack Outback

640 Wattening Spring Rd, Wattening
