When Daniel and Trudi first launched Educated by Nature 5 years ago, Mud Pies Nature Playgroups is where it all stared. Sessions for 0 – 5 year olds and their parents in local bush land spaces. Magical moments of exploration, nature connection, simple carpentry, story telling, adventure, risk, mess, and we couldn’t forget, MUSIC.
Ukulele music was a feature and a well known highlight for many families.
More recently KIN Village and Bush Inventors’ Club have been our focus. These programs are for older children, and we have been delighted to see our Mud Pies Nature Playgroup alumni returning as older members of our community. We have been delighted to reunite with old friends.
These past few weeks, with our KIN Village Online sessions we have reconnected with those Mud Pies families who have moved away from Perth and we are overjoyed!!
In celebration, Daniel has decided to record some of the songs we used to sing at Mud Pies and share them in an attempt to reconnect, reminisce and share joy.
The first song is hilarious. The Fly Song! Shout out to Tim from Bold Park Community School who taught Daniel this song and made it possible to share with so many families.
